This forum has been very helpful with my DIY project so far. I have a bathroom that is going to be using 150 sq feet of danfoss lx cable. Do I need a GFI circuit breaker?

Hello MaxPark - I have installed several Danfoss LX systems and they usually come with a thermostat that has the GFCI already built into it. Check with your dealer or the installation literature that was provided with your T-stat and I can bet you have a GFCI thermostat. Placing the same protection at your breaker will cause the breaker to "trip" and not function properly. If you have a GFCI protected T-stat, then a standard breaker in your panel is all you will need! Good luck and enjoy.

Hey Max!

If you're using a Danfoss tstat, I agree with Big Irish.

But, this is just an off-handed question; are you using their 160sf cable kit and making it fit into your 150sf bath or a 145sf mat and leaving out the extra 5sf? We sell and install lots of Danfoss radiant heating and they don't have an LX cable or mat that specifically fits 150sf.

Just curious.
