Can any brand of geothermal heat pump with a desuperheater connected to an indirect water heater serve as the only hot water source for in slab radiant heat?
or will it only heat water while the forced air blower is on?
I read in Radiant Living about a dual system that ran without the blower to heat water but was over ridden
if the system called for forced air heat.
I am looking at McQuay and FHP equipment now is there a specific brand of equipment targeted at dual use?
Total BTU load on the radiant is less than 20,000. Not for heating entire house just warming tile floors.

Thanks
Ed

I'm guessing this won't work Ed.  There are specific units designed for radiant heating (hydronic units).  They provide both a DHW loop and a hydronic loop.  The hydronic loop will (if necessary) provide chilled water when reversed while still producing hot water for domestic use.

If you are doing a forced air system also, there are typically "triple-function" units that provide a DHW loop, a hydronic loop and a forced air heat/cool blower.

I still havent decided how I am going to do it, I am probably going to use Climate Master TT series with DSH on 2 units on regular domestic tanks for potable hot water and a seperate Hot water tank for radiant
Not sure about gas vs. electric on the radiant tank.  I don't have a source on the Synergy3D unit locally just FHP and Climate Master.
