anyone here familiar with the Earthlinked system? I have a few questions as to the manifold where the ground loops tie in. Does it have to sit up upright in the ditch??

                                                                        Thanks, Brian

I'm not sure I understand the question, Brian, but while refrigeration piping has some limits, it is relatively indifferent to direction. Direction and length can pair for oil recovery issues if installation instructions are not followed.
Tell me what you mean by "upright".

I replied last night, but nothing posted....

The manifolds need to be level, if it's the EarthLinked product. This means that the main lines coming to the manifold will connect to the top or bottom of the manifold, depending on which way you orient it. The important thing is that the brass piece of the manifold is as close to level as you can get.
