From time to time, watchers and contributers here will send me a private message.

I think I can speak for all of us here we I say we love to here from you, but if you don't include contact info on your PM then you must watch your private messages for our reply.

I've had 4 people contact me in the laxt week and when I pm back.....no reply. if you wish to reach me try [email protected] or leave your contact info on the private message.

Let me add that I prefer to keep PMs to a minimum - everyone benefits from an open discussion inviting feedback from others.

PM has a place for communications between a contractor and (potential) customers.

Somebody is up late....:)
I agree, and ask to share info from folks when we speak privately,
however, I also advertise here and do get inquiries from folks in our area. I would like to be able to reply in ways other than PM as they do not always seem to get my messages (not a dig on the mods, you have to know to look and if your spam filter blocks the notification.......).

I agree you should get some 'mileage' from local biz from your writing here. I'm just starting to derive useful contacts.

One technique I've used is to refer PMer back to forum or state in a new or existing thread "I got a PM question about..." and then proceed to answer.

One major reason I like to stay public is that other experts will critique / correct / amend any screwup I write - serves all parties.

Guilty as charged.  Well Kind of.  I do get an e-mail every time someone PM's me, I am slow to respond.  That part works fine.  While I have read about many item in found these boards for years in other place in general terms I have spent quite a few hours reading and learning about all of these systems and their ups and downs.  I really appreciate all the talent that adds to all of these boards.  I will post my questions and answers when I have them.

Thank you everyone.

Regards,

Greg
