Does the heat pump energize the wiring power connections and cause the Desuperheater circulation pump to
run, or are the electrical contacts always "live", and it is the temperature switch, which actually turns on
and off the desuperheater circulation pump?  Thanks!!!

I do not know of an appliance that does not deactivate DSH circulator when heat pump is not running.

Desuper pump runs when compressor runs, unless turned off via switch.

Some systems deactivate desuper pump upon a call for supplemental strip heating so as to maximize space heating.
