I am trying to get nominations for my project "Self Sufficient Homes".
The project would be sponsored by "American Express" if it gets chosen.
I would like Earthships to be built as they use nature for all there power.
They are built with recycled material also.

Earthships don't follow the normal build rules, but they are substantially stronger than normal house builds.
They have been around about 30 years now and have been updated continuously.
If you look at the Earthship website on the link on my original post, you will see they have been built in many countries around the world.

| Most of the ones online are in very dry climates. I don't see any engineering for dealing with moisture. |

There are Earthships in France, Scotland, England. Also to be built in Holland and Norway.
No problems so far with moisture.
Also we had a honeymoon in Taos (New Mexico) in the winter. The snowfall was heavy and then the snow melted in the day. No problems here either.

I looked into Earthships, but decided on a Moonship VII. Much more energy efficient, easier to construct, biodegradable and easy to digest.
