What is it with everyone wanting a green home.  For goodness sakes, everybody on the block can't have a green home.  Use some imagination - pick a different color.  If everyone has a green home it will hurt resale.  Some subdivisions will let only one house on the block use green so all the houses don't look alike.

O, I understand now, nevermind.

Wes,

It is just my attempt at humor and a small protest against assigning a new meaning to the word green.

It does seem strange to me that a word that normally means color is being used to describe a concept.  Just think what some architectural review committee members will think when everyone tries to get a "green" home approved for a very restrictive subdivision.  This is funny to me since I own and manage a restricted subdivision in Auburn Alabama where a lot of people have never heard of the green concept.  Unless the concept makes the local paper or somehow is associated with football, it will take quite a while to bring everybody up to speed.

By the way Wes, I am originally from KY - between Owensboro and Bowling Green = Beaver Dam.

"It does seem strange to me that a word that normally means color is being used to describe a concept..."

or a natural occurance. The wheat on my farm is starting to "green" up and grow.

or a natural reaction. The wheat on my farm is converting carbon dioxide into oxygen among other things.

or an adjective. So I'm being green by growing wheat on my farm.

Would I still be green by gowing white asparagus? I think I've been sniffing to much oxygen. Cheers, Dave
