I have been looking for a product to replace the old fiberglass covering of my patio from 1953. I like the Ondura product, but wonder with time, will it need painting or repair from a storm.

I really like the look and someone said it may look retro, but for my house (1952), I think this what I want. Only seen it at Lowes.

Home Depot has another product that I like but it doesnt seem very sturdy.  PVC Palruf corrogate polycarbonate... looks good but not so sturdy.

Any comments will be appreciated.

thanks.

I have no personal experience with either product, yet. However, I have investigated both products, and suggest that either would serve your purpose. I know that Bill Chaleef, an architect who posts on the SIP forum, used Ondura on his own home. And I have seen the corrogated polycarbonate used as skylites on metal buildings, with good results.
