We have just completed a new house and used the Pella Designer series casements with the interior blinds. Some of our windows are high and moving the blinds up and down requires a step stool to reach the controller. Does anyone know of any tool that will help us do this without the aid of a stool? Pella recommended one of those pikstick things and they just don't make enough contact to move the control up and down. Any ideas?

You could glue a loop of some sort onto the control, paint over the loop to match the color of the window control so it blends in, and then get a dowel rod with an stub sticking out the side attached to the top end to move them up or down. See the attached pic for an example.

Brilliant! Thanks for all the detail. If I can find the bits and pieces, this will be a perfect solution. Many thanks.
