I am moving to jamaica which is obviously a great place for solar. I have done lots of research on the solar thing, what i am trying to figure out is what kind of "earthship" or green home to build. Sand and bamboo is free, so i would like to utilize that. But there are plenty of resourses to use there also. I would love any suggestions and be very thankful. Also I need a plan to keep it cool, wich shouldnt be too bad because it will be a small  place.

Well, Earth Sheltering should help keep it cool(depending on ground temps), and provide a secure place during hurricanes. Solar can easily provide most of your hot water, and if needed your electricity(pricey).

Good Luck!

If you're not building with OSB SIPS(or ICF's), why are you building?
