I am in planning stage of 2000 sf home with basement, mainfloor, loft in Iowa. I would like solar hot water with electric hot water heater backup. (Electric will come from utility possibly supplemented by wind turbine). We are on a few acres with no real obstructions. I don't want to have the solar collectors on the roof. Can anyone suggest a design for me or point me to some links that show how such a system would come together. Thanks!
