Hi,
I have a DHW solar system with 50 evacuated tubes and a 80 gal tank closed loop I run at 10-12 PSI. The system will "blow off" every couple of months or so and I have to recharge. I have been told to run the psi at 40 and this may help. Does anyone know what the PSI should be?

Thanks,
Ted

Hi, Im just getting my system together (20 Tube system from Silicon Solar in NY, horrible customer service) and in all the reading I have found that 30 to 50 psi . This is to increase the boiling point... Follow this link http://www.solar-components.com/System_5.htm and view the pdf file at the upper right side of the page called the Install for System 5, it speaks to your very issue on page 31 of the install manual. hope this helped. ps Im worried my soldering that Im doing myself will not hold up to 40 psi???
