It seems that a new green building rating system may be coming our direction.

I have requested additional information from Bureau Veritas and will post it as I rceive it.

The new rating system is a reaction to recent studies which show that some appliances which have gotten Energy Star Ratings aren't as energy efficient as the label suggest. So take extra care in choosing your appliances. Here is some more info

This is a huge problem.
Companies have long tried to label products as "low fat" or "high in antioxidants" and it never works. There are too many behind-closed-doors negotiations and such that manipulate the meaning of such consumer labels, ultimately rendering them ambiguous.
We need to educate ourselves! We shouldn't be relying on an ambiguous label to tell us a product is good for our Earth!
