Only four months behind but at least I finally got here!

I am considering building in the Charleston area (Johns Island) and am strongly leaning toward ICF. I have been in South Florida for the past 20+ years and am very concerned about hurricanes so am very interested in the strength as well as the energy properties. Another concern is local crews experienced with the technique.

Do you have some references on precast (concrete, I assume) panel construction, particularly in the Charleston area? I would be intersted in learning about the process.  My son built a precast panel house here and it is a  real fortress but he was doing the engineering for the company so his costs were minimal. Seemed like a pretty complex process at the time.

Are you still contemplating building in the Charleston area or have you already started?
