Is/Has anyone out there actually used these Isorast ICFs with the internal clay wall (instead of the second wall of ICF foam)?   They seem like a fantastic concept, but I'll be damned if I can find anyone on the internet who's actually used them.    I'm curious about the quality of the product and how it prices out relative to other ICFs:

They're a German product supposedly being sold in the US through an outfit in Florida.   I plan on giving them a call tomorrow.

If these guys eliminate the drywall requirement, and don't break into little pieces at the drop of a hat, and don't cost an arm and a leg, then it's a heck of an idea.

There is a company in Mass that makes a similar product, The company name is CBIS

Thanks for the suggestion.    I checked the CBIS products out and from what I understand, produces a product that is masonry on the outside, not clay on the inside:

I'm particularly intrigued with the clay product that Isorast makes because you've got a porous interior that foregoes the need for drywall and being clay helps self-regulates room humidity.

That seems like an almost ideal ICF, because the concrete is not insulated from the inside, thereby making optimal use of the thermal mass. Eliminating drywall is great but where do electricals go? maybe in conduit before the grout is pumped?
