I am a college student whose senior project is designing an environmentally friendly home. I have decided on using ICF, but I do not know how to choose the thickness, nor do I know the benefits of flat, grid, or post & beam.

This home is a 1 story, 1400 square feet with walls that are 8 - 10ft high.

Could anyone give me advice, a number to call, or a website that may help me? I need information for the areas around Flint, MI and Tampa, FL. I also need information on how to size an ERV system for this home, so I could definitely use some information pertaining to that as well.

Thanks!

Try contacting one of the many ICF manufacturers in North America, you will see a few of them to the left of this page. If you are lucky, maybe one of them wouldn't mind sparing some time to share some info. Where are you located, maybe someone on the forum is close by and could point you in the right direction close by and you could stop by in person.
You can also find good info in past threads.
Good Luck

Sorry! I ended up going MIA right after posting this!

Thanks everybody for offering your help. I am located in Flint, so I will be sure to give Kieth Saltz a try. Hopefully I can get the answers I am looking for.

Heather
