Can anyone tell me what i should expect to pay per square foot for 1/2" drywall on ICF?  i understand that the price is higher on ICF vs regular stick built homes 'cause its a little tougher to do.  is this true?  why is drywall more on icf?

No, it is not true. Drywall is easier to install on ICFs because your seams do not have to end on a stud, since there is a solid backing. It all has to be screwed (or glued) but every drywaller I know is screwing anyway, except sometimes they will do a couple nails in a wall sheet to hold it while they screw the rest. So if anything ICFs should be less than wood framing, if your drywaller says otherwise, tell him to go screw....himself.

good info!!!! but doesnt it take more time to fit a board then take it down to glue it then put it back up??  screwing a board the first time looks faster.

The only place I would glue rock would be the ceiling.

gmax,
drywall hanger should not charge more for icf, if you show them where the web is, they can screw it on 12", 16", 18", or 24" o.c.(depends on brand of icf). some brands webs don't go full height, its a pain, but if told in advance.....screw patterns will become apparent
also make sure you clean any foam or concrete ooze before the drywall guys show up
in my area in FLORIDA we can get it hung, taped and sprayed textured for between $ 18 - 25 per sheet(4x12)

One of the things that can upset a drywaller that charges by the sheet is the fact they Will use less sheets.  Tuff to get them to use any scrap or short piece but in today's market it can be done.  Get a price per sq. ft..

Tom;

What is the price of drywalling in your area over ICF's? If you can; can you please break it down (material cost/sqft, Installation cost of drywalling, with mudding and taping seperate). Thanks in advance!

Gmax, you misunderstood, don't glue the drywall is you have nothing better to do.
