I am going to be bidding out next week and am beginning to get cold feet on using sips.  There is little or no experience in this area using sips.  I know of only 2 homes built with sips within 50-75 miles and both have had problems with manufacturer support.  One company I contacted to see a model home within 20 miles has not bothered to call back and give me details.  The other home built has had so many problems...the manufacturer's sales representative was supposed to call back 3 weeks ago and the homeowner is still waiting.  I will bid sips, but will also bid metal framing.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?  By the way, I'm located in central costal Louisiana and am only interested in cement fiber skins.

We hate to hear about the bad experiences. But they are out there. Unfortunately if you are an owner with a single project in a busy area like Louisiana you may not get the time of day. It may just be a volume issue, sad to say. Here in central Texas our local plant is 4-6 weeks out just for raw panels. If you are not an existing customer with electonic CAD files ready to go...
