My wife and I have been talking about using the various types of SIPS for our new house. When I brought up the steel SIPS she objected based on the noise that metal siding makes when the temp. changes. Are steel SIPS different and not make noise or is it still noisy? Road Block;
First you need to change your name, it makes you sound objectionable.
But seriously your metal siding was probably aluminum which expands and contracts greater than steel. Aluminum is usually hollow behind it , unlike the steel skins that are laminated to a thick foam core.
Having built over 70 steel sips homes/buuildings expansion noise has not been an issue.
