  I would like to avoid the expense of drywalling my garage.  However, a one hour burn (5/8" drywall) wall between the garage and the living area is required by code.  Does anyone manufacture a paint that might meet the one hour burn requirement?

yes there are many products this is one .. LINK ..But its cheaper to drywall
