Can any of the unbiased GreenBuiding readers offer their opinions on the Thermasave Product?  They are in the finals for a major project here in Texas.  Any advice, reviews or comments are welcome.  Thank you in advance for your replies.

Sometimes a company starts out with a great idea and some good intentions. The idea of fiber cement is pretty good and it has its place but you will need to know something about all the ins and out of sips before going with this company. I could tell you of my six months of working with this company and visiting several job sites or the habitat for humanity projects I went to so I could see them going up in record time. This website is full of a mass amount of knowledge and I would not have built my home without this site being up so please don't just take my opinion. So with all that being said and my beating around the bush to give you a delicate answer, run as fast as you can from thermasave. I will give you more details if you like but I would rather not use this outstanding formum to do it. The information I have is first hand from Thermasave employees as well as spending a lot of time with the president of Thermasave. Thank you, Sam

Sammy,
Please, please explain why you said to run from Thermasave!  You did not explain at all!  Were you just mad at them?

Aren't the panels basically a modified SIP?

A search of State corporate filings shows that they have not filed since 2011, that is normally an indication that a company is no longer in existence

Interesting to compare to SCIPs (sprayed on fiber cement). The splines cause thermal bridging, but conceptually, it might be possible to use glued in, high density foam as a spline instead of fiber cement. Then you retain the advantage of no shotcrete and factory controlled conditions.

Yes ThermaSave Worldwide LLC is operating in Florence, AL at 4002 Helton Drive, and is the only authorized and licensed manufacturer under our ICC Report Number 2406 owned by H.H. Haddock, the founder and developer of ThermaSave. We have licensed plants in other locations but due to the economy they have lost their license and are no longer in operation. You can reach us at (256)766-3378.

We provide chases in our panels to run all electrical wiring. Clients can use our standard electrical chases or we can install custom chases per the clients specific needs.
