| We need to build a warehouse 30 ft high , clear span. It is possible to use three 10 ft panels one over the other? Does the spline needs to be one 30 ft piece? What should we use for spline? can anybody come up with a drawing of the connection details for this case? No load other than the roof on top of the building. Thank you! |

then you have an issue, you cannot simply stack 3 - 10 foot sips one on top of the other without an additional frame 30 foot long splines are not the answer. There is a serious hinge (buckling) point at each joint |

| Use PSL OR LVL enginnered lumber 3.5 x 5.5 lvl and 5.25 x 5.25 psl are avalable most everywere int he country. 4ft wide or 8 ft wide panel by 30 ft tall depending on your enineer's specificaltions.

OSB is not readily available in 30ft. lengths , not impossible, I have done jobs with 28ft. osb, but you wil pay dearly to get it.
But just because you can but a panel 30 ft. does not mean it can be used unsupported 30ft.
But this is not a solution for Liviu, as they are trying to make 10ft. tall panels usable for 30 ft. walls, a task not possible without a sub-frame |

Can we do a structure from cold rolled steel? and then put the SIP panels on the outside? I am not sure if the cold rolled steel structure can be built at 30 ft high, i assume it is. Or maybe we can use steel splines? The problem that our rollformer will come in last . |

You need an engineered red iron sub frame, if you are talking about cold rolled steel stud framing it is not sufficient at 30ft. tall. Your SIP system already has a designed spline , it would be dificult to substitute some sort of steel spline, What ever you do, it will need the guidance of an engineer. at 30 ft.tall andin Iraq, I am only guessing something important will be inside? its not like building a shed in the back yard and if it falls down, no big deal

| All we have available are SIP's panels, MGO 4X10 max and the rollformer for CFS. So now we want to find out what is the best way to build the shop around those machines. It will be around 60.000 sqft in 3 sections. |

the specks are on my face but I did check out the specs , most any sip is stackable, that is not the issue by Liviu.
They are needing a free standing 30 ft. SIP wall which Koreteck cannot provide.
Our Shadowline panel at 10" thick would stand in one piece at 30ft. @ a 20# wind load.
But Liviu is between a rock and a hard place with 10ft. panels not designed to stack unsupported and a cold rolled machine, they are in dire need of a properly engineered structure. Even if there is no code requirement they are at great risk erecting a building that could potentially fall down causing injury or loss of life |
