If its OSB a cut- in , or any box with a side spacing tab for drywall,  if furred or metal sips
use an 1-1/2" x 4x 4 sq.box with plaster ring

Ditto on what Chris recommended. I traced the box and cut with a roto-zip. Worked great. In order to secure the box extra I also put a screw through the opposite side of the tab into the OSB. Remember to foam the chase.
