Hi all:
I was talking with a vendor who is selling a different type of framing system and they were saying that there is a real issue with OSB SIP's getting moisture in them when being erected and expanding slightly thereby having a deformation at the seams that shows depending on the type of skin that is put over the panels or has to be dealt with in some fashion.  I was wondering how many of you SIP builders have run into this problem?  Thanks in advance for any answers to this troubling question.

I built my OSB SIP home 3 yrs. ago. Rained and rained. I tried to cover the panels for the most part but many got wet anyway. I had no issues at all with the seams (or anything else for that matter).

OSB used on SIPS will move about the same as OSB used as sheathing on a stick framed wall. I have seen no difference in moisture problems between the two. And the problems I have seen are inconsequential. Simple rule: If it gets wet, let it dry.

there are different grades of OSB used by mfg.s the better ones use a coated OSB on all exposed edges and flat surfaces "AdvanTech"
otherwise edges will swell when expsosed to rain.
I think in most cases the OSB will dryout before covered up, however my experience has been they are just hard to push together when edges swel

If I was to use OSB , I would insist on AdvanTech
