Straight Sorel cement (magnesium Chloride) has been shown to be corrosive to soft metals such as aluminum when in a wet environment. With the additives and modifications we have done we feel confident there is no protential problem. As outlined in the previous post the tranformation into hydromagnesite is the key if one is going to put this into a wet environment. We are conducting tests to confirm this.
Insulations are usually intended to be in a dry environment.
Magnesium Phosphate can be foamed as well but are generally more expensive in the US. There is no known issues with magnesium phosphate concerning corrosion or excess moisture.

Hello,

My name is Zack Garrison from Cincinnati.  I am a SIPS Dealer and installer.  We work with Fischer SIPS from Louisville, KY.  But we do any SIPS panels.  We do local SIPS installations and travel to do SIPS installations.  I own GZG Construction and Garrison Crane Service.  We supply a crane, crew and do total framing with SIPS panels.  I would like to speak with you about your project if you are interested.  Just let me know.

Thanks,
Zack
