| How is it that two people lately have been able to look up at least my email address, if not more? When I check someone's profile I can only see an email webform and nothing else.
How are they doing this? |

Apparently the Mods never check this forum.
I can't find an email address for them. Any idea how I can contact? |

To disable people from sending you email:
On the top of the GBT page, click on "My Profile"
Uncheck "Allow Email"
Then click "Update Profile"

But I don't want to disable email.
I know that when you click on a nick you get the public profile and a webform to send an anonymous email.
But twice recently, people on this forum got my actual email address which is associated with my forum account here. How could that happen?

Only logged in users are able to see the email webform. When they use the email webform, it'll send an email to the recipient and the sender's email will appear in the "from" field of the email.

I know how webforms work. In fact I know their underlying mechanism.
I am saying that two people have somehow actually gotten my [i]direct[/i] email address, bypassing the system, one of those people unfriendly.
I can not use the PM system, as it will not allow me to send messages for some reason. |
