| I'm representing the Arnprior & District Humane Society (www.arnpriorhumanesociety,ca). We have an air quality issue to be resolved.
We need (government mandate) an HRV system that changes 625CFM. This seems to be in the "small commercial" range. This rate of air exchange will be a $killer$ in the winter (Canada!).
Most of the HRV's I see have a heat recovery rate of 60 - 70%. Is there any in that range that have a much higher heat recovery like 85 - 95%?
I found 1, an Aldes HRV 500DDD, it achieves high heat recovery using 2 cores. But the performance is only available in thies unit that maxes out at 500CFM. Is there others?

| Have a look at Fantech SHR 3005R They claim 91% effectiveness ( double core ) You may want to divide the load in to two units as in zoning if possible. Manuf.- Kanalflakt Brand Name - Enviro, Fantech Symphony Phone 506-743-9500 |

| HVI reports that the SHR 3005R has a 91% apparent sensible effectiveness rating @ 64, 117, and 157cfm. This unit has @ 270 cfm maximum airflow, but was tested for sensible efficiency at an airflow @ 1.2 external static or more. Any unit will have great efficiency numbers at low airflows. I believe the inquiry was for more than 500cfm. For commercial applications such as this, the cfm requirement is constant during occupancy. Also, any unit would require a UL commercial listing (or comparable in Canada), and not say "for residential use only", to meet safety requirements. |
