Temperature-Insulated Bricks Made From Waste

A ministry-level project led by Mr. Vu Minh Duc, PhD and Head of the Department of Construction Materials at Hanoi University of Construction, has developed a type of spongy pottery has many advantages over traditional materials, and its price is only 70% of the price of similar imported types. It is environmentally-friendly, made from clay, ash, sawdust and polystyron sponge.

Not only is the new pottery brick insulation against temperature and sound, it can also reduce the quantities of cement, iron and steel needed for pillars, foundations and other structures, which would reduce construction weights, increase construction time and productivity.
