Introduction to ICFs
Insulating concrete forms (ICFs) are hollow foam blocks or panels that crews stack into the shape of the exterior walls of a building. They then pour reinforced concrete inside, creating a foam-concrete sandwich. The result is a house or commercial building that is exceptionally strong, energy efficient, quiet, comfortable, and durable, and can be built in any style. There are over 40 brands of ICFs sold in North America.
Insulating Concrete Forms (ICFs) create basements, homes, and low-rise commercial buildings that are more comfortable, quieter, energy efficient, and stronger...And they do it economically. ICFs have become a cost-effective way to build. No wonder they're one of the fastest-growing new technologies in construction!
