It's my understanding (and please correct me if I'm wrong) LEED doesn't "qualify" products, just the building it is included in and what part those products play in the Green Construction, by their (LEED) standards.

When used for interior space heating, Zmesh, the controls that create the zoning capabilities and use the power more efficiently in correlation with the lifestyle of the occupant as well as the thermostat that the system utilizes make it fit for "green building" use under their guidlines.  There are already Green Arhcitects spec'ing it in their projects.

One of the requirements for heating of any kind is the use of a programmable thermostat. I thought that Step didn't use Thermostats. Isn't Step and "always on" element? Wouldn't the plastic film give off toxic fumes in a building fire?

Hey warms

Step is thermostatically controlled like all the rest.an can be zoned.  so your not ahead of the game there...............no more tpxoc than an alloy like bronze who components are made from a non renewable source, mined from the earth through out the world.  If your house burns down, I think the last thing your worried about is fumes........... but nice try.

I admire your complete dedication to zmesh.     If cooling a thermal mass down and reheating it up via programable thermostat is effecient.  Then I missed that day in physics.  You rep one of the better products out there.  But try and do some more homework on the products and install a few of the .  We have

Your correct about the leed,

My "dedication" is based on alot of experience. You keep saying that I need to install more of the other products. I'm not sure why. All of the information that I've offered comes from information fed to me from the manufacturers about their products and the use of them in the field. I don't make it up as I go along and hope that there are dumb people listening. I've said many times that we sell and install whatever fits the project. Zmesh and Tuff Cable are just my personal favorites, like Step and Danfoss are yours.

Two questions:

evperry;    Did you get any help from this thread?

handyhammer: (2nd request) Are you employed by or are you directly connected in any way to Warmzone?

I thought I already responded to your question about being 'connected' to Warmzone. Maybe I didn't hit the big blue SUBMIT button.

Warmzone designs and supplies me with radiant systems for the last couple of years. I am a GC and build a few homes a year and subliment my time with some remodeling projects. Warmzone and I have also worked together on a couple of commerical projects that they have referred to me.

I have had experience with a wide variety of electric radiant heating products. I am self employed - just like you. The curious question I had when I looked up your website is: Are YOU connected to Warmzone? Your site looks like a cousin of theirs.

Pushing Blue Button Now.....

The only connection to them I have is the color red. It's gives you a warm feeling, doesn't it!? I am connected to no one but my wife and kids. As previously mentioned, I own Comfort Radiant Heating. We are a warehouse stocking distributor of Heatizon (mostly) and Danfoss products. We have crews that install and we also afford other distributors and contractors with materials and techinical assistance where our systems are concerned. I am also hands on site installing as well since inception. I can't sit in the office. We have installed whole house heating systems utilizing Zmesh and Tuff Cable, driveway snow melting systems using Tuff Cable and Danfoss as well as Under Shingle Roof deicing systems using Zmesh.
