Specific area radiant floor heating

I am presently building an ICF home with a geothermal system. We wanted the entrances and the master bath to have radiant floor heating. The HVAC contractor put 3/4" tubing and alumium heat plates screwed to the underside of the subfloor between each floor joist in those areas. I was wondering about putting insulation below the heating plates to keep the heat there or enclosing the joists in those areas to sort of keep heat confined to the areas we want heated. Am overthinking this, thanks in advance.

you absolutely want insulation. R13 if you're over heated space, R19 to R30 over cold space.
