Im hoping to be heating a small home with hydronic heat( 850sqft on first floor and 750 sqft) on the second. I was going to use transfer plates under the first floor and base board hot water on the second.
I have been reading about Polaris hot water heaters and was wondering if anybody had thoughts or experience with these, or any heaters used rather than a boiler?
I was hoping to use one boiler/heater for water and heat if wise. The house is well insulated although I have done no math as far as heat loss goes. I also would love to supplement with wood and or solar as budget permits. As of right now we will choose oil or propane.
Any thoughts or advice much appreciated. Thanks
