I've got a well insulated small house with hydronic ceiling heat powered by a modulating electric boiler with outdoor reset. I'm trying to decide where to set the boiler temperature. With respect to energy efficiency, the opinions I've found say to set the temp as low as possible. I can easily heat the house with 115F water even when it's quite cold outside, and I can definitely go lower and have the pumps circulating more often, or almost constantly (boiler goes down to 97F/82F max/min). Each zone has a Grundfos 3-speed 1/25hp running at 0.55amps, and the same for the primary loop.

So the question is: Should I go for the lowest boiler temp possible and run the pumps a lot, or go with a little bit higher temperature and not run the pumps as much? Any thoughts?
