I need to adjust the metering valve on Mr Pex manifold with a plastic ring at the base. I know the old brass style just required turning the glass(plastic) view meter. Is it still the same? Can it be turned with something other than the key? THANKS

if you have the BIG black plastic base cover, that's the older style. pop off the plastic cover and twist the flow meters to balance and put the cover back on. If there is no cover and is just a black ring, someone lost the cover and you can twist away as is.

So I just pop-off the cover with a screwdriver? Whats' the best way to twist the meter tube, if you don't have the "tool"?
