Good Day:

This is my first post on this forum, so be kind!  I was wondering if someone had some rough numbers on heat load or btu/hr for a project we just finished.  Its a strawbale load bearing home about 2000 sq' with slab on grade foundation with 2" styrofoam under the slab and 4" on the perimeter.  The walls are around 26" thick ( the bales are laid flat ) and the attic has been blown in to around an R60-70.  There is moderate level of square footage of windows in the house, any larger window is south facing... I could get the exact square footage.  So far we have installed a woodstove with a heating coil which goes into a storage tank which is the same tank that we use for the storage of the four 4x8 solar thermal panels.  The radiant takes the heat from the tank and tops it up with a bosch on demand heater ( if its needed ) and then it goes into the slab.  The last winter the house used 1 cord of firewood to get thru the winter, the rest was passive solar and the solar thermal.  So... trying to figure out btu/hr or heat load for the house does anyone have any ideas or rough numbers?
