http://sanisealgasket.com/?page_id=367 I have a 3' slab with radiant heating in my bathroom upstairs 2' two feet away from the bowl! Yeap after 5 years the wax is melting like the wicked witch of the west... I am going to try a new product saniseal and replace all my bowls so I can just get old and enjoy my radiant for many more years. Anyone else have bowl melting syndrome? 73F non stop NYC 140max but 120 avg temp 20DT(warmest record ever this year!) Mike

And for peace of mind, they also make waxless rings.

Mike: After 5 years with no changes in design or water temp, I'd be looking for another reason. We've tested wax rings to see how hot the floor has to be around them to melt them to the point they would distort and at 73, you're nowhere near the 93 it took just to soften them.

Sorry, It didn't melt. my kids broke the wax seal when they jump on the bowl. Radiant still working fine but kids are getting bigger.
