Thin Aluminum Plates - Stapled down Question

I'll be using the thin aluminum plates for an above floor install on sleepers. I've seen some suggest that only one side be stapled down tight to one sleeper and the other side not (with a small gap - sleeper not touching aluminum). What do you guys & gals think? I'm thinking it's all temporary anyways since I will be either putting mud over it and then Hardibacker for tile -OR - Nailing down 3/4" T&G wood floors. When putting down the wood, I'm sure I will be going through the loose side of the aluminum plates with some nails anyways. Thoughts???
