Has anyone used Roth panels as an above floor panel system? The home is new construction, full basement with radiant in the slab. The basement will be unfinished at this point but who knows what the future will bring. Putting the tubing in the concrete now is a no brainer. I have looked at numerous above floor systems, listed from most to least expensive, Warmboard, Rehau, Roth,
Sunboard , the various plate systems and the joist track, quick track and what ever
other track systems LOL. I will be purchasing one of the preceding systems. I was thinking about Roth on the first floor to take advantage of the insulation in the panel to help with downward heat loss to the basement. If you put any credence in the infamous Virginia tech study the Roth panel performance was second to the Rehau raupanel at 1/2 the cost. Here is a link to the study. https://www.google.com/url?q=https://theses.lib.vt.edu/theses/available/etd-01182006-011730/unrestricted/Performance_Test_Protocol_for_Radiant_Floor_Heating.pdf&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwjUsfK78-vMAhUHJR4KHQ_VA5QQFggFMAA&client=internal-uds-cse&usg=AFQjCNEk-tpI6_u0fh9CQqj1jZwmxCo1NQ Any input would be appreciated.
