Hi everyone I am building a simple garage radiant floor system and I was wondering if it is ok to use a line voltage thermostat with a floor sensor to power the circulator pump when the system calls for heat instead of a 24v thermostat wired through a switching relay. Thanks!

What pump are you interested in? I don't think you can do this.

That's what I'm doing right now. Using a Honeywell TL8100 connected direct to my pump. Works good.

I may have read your post wrong. I thought you were asking if you could power a pump with 24 volts. Yes, with radiant heat, you can buy line voltage thermostats which connect directly to your pump.
