Hello. I'm an old timer who used to work with HVAC my whole life. Of course, staying young means staying active, so I thought I'd try to design a radiant heat system using modern technology for my grandson. Go easy on me, but be honest, as long ago we never thought of using insulation under the concrete slab, and energy was so cheap, we never knew the concept of 'energy efficiency'.
I included a scanned file of my design. Its a simple design; two zones, a primary loop, secondary loops, individual pumps for each zone, and all the valves and other goodies in between.
The circle with PT in the center stands for Pressure/Temperature gauge. I know the system needs two thermostats and a relay box as well.
Please understand, this is not drawn to scale. Obviously the long lengths of pipe in the diagram wont be that long. I'm more interested in your thoughts of the placement/flow of the individual parts.
Thanks for your time!
