Hi I have recently purchased a house with electric radiant heat in the ceiling installed in the entire house. my contractor removed one wall with the thermostat. Now the electrician needs extra wire to install new thermostat on another wall. the specs are: CEILHEAT C-208 800W 240V UF. He needs 50 feet of this wire. does anyone know the place to purchase it ? thank you

You talking about the thermostat wire? Have your contractor look at what is used for your other T-stats and use the same thing. T-stat wire can be bought at any big box store. Personally, if your contractor is confused about this; I'd sub out to a qualified electrician.

Yea, it is probably NOT 'thermostat wire" which is for a low voltage control signal between a thermostat and a central furnace or boiler. Most electric point of use heat(baseboard, installed space heaters and radiant) uses the same wire for supply AND control and the thermostat switches the full operating curent to the heating element. This has to be the right wire as low voltage thermstat wire in the wrong place WILL go up in smoke inside your wall...

Do you have a City Electric Supply (CES) near you? They carry radiant heating products and usually all necessary wire.
