Newbie here. We are building our home using post frame with slab on grade. Going to put radian heat in but cannot decide on a boiler. Does anyone have experience with the NextGen boiler that has everything needed for a radiant system? Looking at getting my boiler and cannot find much info on the NextGen boiler. Would appreciate any feedback. Our electric cost per kWh is the lowest in the country 2.7 cents per kWh.

Yes, we have installed more NextGen boilers than I can count... They are by far the best electric boiler for hydronic radiant heating. We also use them in our home too.

Thank you for the reply. If I am doing 3 zones would it be beneficial to use 2 additional pumps, or is the boiler pump sufficient?

Your design should specify the maximum required supply temp, the required circuit flow rates and the resulting circuit hydraulic friction head loss so you can determine the pump requirement. Unless you have an unusually large home or you are located in an unusually cold place, one of the three speed settings on the NextGen boiler is usually adequate. We have free DIY hydronic radiant floor heating design software on our website if you are so inclined:

The NextGen boiler also has a pressure differential valve so there is no need to have primary/secondary and an additional pump as is often required with other boilers. Read the NextGen installation manual to gain a better understanding and appreciation of the capability of this boiler.

I have been playing with your calculators. Some of it is a bit over my head, and I would love to use your services. I think the 30 day lead time might put me in a bind if our construction starts on time. I would need to be ready to install pex by mid February. We are building in Wenatchee WA. Just north of you guys.

Please send us a note via our Contact tab on our website and I will see if we can accomondate you on our schedule. We can complete designs pretty quickly if we can quickly get all the required info we need. But we are also getting pretty booked up for the 2021 construction season. We lived in Renton for many years and know Wenatchee well as our sons graduated from CWU.
