While I look for a place to build on in my area, is there anything I can do to determine if it'd be a good location for a geothermal system?

Thanks

What are the energy rates and availabilities in your area, where are you located, and what's the earth make-up?

I live around Lansing, MI.

I'm not sure the earth composition around my area, maybe heavy soil, and some clay. There's alot of agricultural farms around here. Flat, wooded land. I'm not sure what you mean by my energy rates and availabilities, I would look that up and get back to ya if you could explain a little further.

How much is propane per gallon, fuel oil per gallon, natural gas per therm, is natural gas available, how far from natural gas would you be, and how much is electricity per kWh?
