I have a Florida Heat Pump in my house. It has given me 3 years of trouble free service so far.

I had one, I think they are a pretty good brand. The only thing that puzzles me is My old florida Heat pump ran off a 30 amp circuit for both the Compessor and Blower, and my new Water Furance requires a 60 AMP breaker for the Blower / backup heat and a 50 AMP breaker for the Compressor. How is it that the newer system requires so much more power than the older one? Now I do know I added backup heat, but the compressor alone draws more AMPS then the entire old system, so much for technology making things smaller, faster, cheaper.

Check efficiencies / ARI ratings. Last time I checked FHP hadn't kept up with Climate Master or Waterfurnace - 20-25% less efficient.

FHP makes a Aquaris II unit that pretty much blows WF and CM out of the water with the efficiencies.

A quick check of ARI shows Aquarius 2 on a par with Envision, some efficiencies higher, some lower across the model line. Aquarius 2 must be fairly new or I missed it last time I checked

I'll beat the same horse,
I'm more interested in your installers references. FHP is fine.
