Hi Folks,
Great forum.
I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. My father and I built my home. It is a 1900 sq ft bungalow with master bed over the garage. We pretty much did everything ourselves except for the heating and tin work. I have the tranquility 27 installed as with a infloor unit to heat my basement floor and garage floor. We started building in April of 2007. Moved in May 2007. The AC portion of the unit worked very well this summer when temps it above the 30C range. I have notice since we started to use the heat in Sept that the air temp from the force air unit is almost cool, hardly warm at all. The basement is warmer that the main floor as it is mostly heated with the infloor unit. This tells me something is up with the tranquility 27.
What should the air temp be coming from the vents?
When I touch the duct work coming out of the furnace it is barely warm.
Today it is -25C as we have finally got winter up here. I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I want to get some information before I talk to my geothermal guy as he has not been the best guy to deal with and will likely come up with some excuse as to not come to my home.
I have been reading through the manual trying to make sense of the unit. I do have a college diploma in Electronics and built this home so I do have the technical savy to figure things out.
I turned on the breaker for the electric heat to see if that will warm up the house, but I think that is a bandaid solution until I get the geothermal guy out here next week (if I am lucky).
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!
Dean
