I want to thank everyone for contributing to this thread. My wife and I have pulling our hair out wondering whats going on with the electricity bills after spending all the extra cash on Geo when building our home. The outside company came out today to test the system for us and I have the temps if someone wants to see them. The company that came out today said everything is working great which gives me some peace of mind after reading how about how so many people are having issues with the hydro delta equipment. Thanks again for everyones help, here the figures. The invoice says Turn thermostat to cooling mode and check operating temp, unit runs for approx 10 minutes before test reinstall door, filters, clean unit cabinet part load entering air temp 68 leaving air temp 50 compressor amps 7.6a full load entering air temp 68 leaving air temp 47 compressor amps 8.1a entering water temp 37 leaving water temp 46 Turn the thermostat to heating mode and check operating temp, unit runs for approx 10 minutes before test. Make sure heater strip is not on during this test. part load entering air temp 68 leaving air temp 84.5 compressor amps 8.3a full load entering air temp 68 leaving air temp 85 compressor ams 9.6a entering water temp 37 leaving water temp 32/30 Sorry its long winded just didn't know what you guys needed. BTW the outside temp was 27 degrees and the house is set for 68. Mike

your use sounds pretty good to me. my el. runs over 100 a month and i have a gas water heater. so you heated your house for 80 bux that includes an el. water heater. our propane here is 2.13 a gal so i burn wood i think if i can heat my home for 80.00 the tractor and the chain saw will be put up. so far this winter i have went though 200 gal of propane wihile still burning wood. with a 2 story house i think you are in good shpe for your 80.00

Normally I would never call someone out trying to help but after reading your other posts in different threads you need to stop typing and start listening. Your trying to say I heated my home for $80.00 a month which is wrong, my January electric bill was 3000 kwh which was $231.00 and the gas was $85.00. The Feb electric bill was 2400 kwh at $191.00 and gas was around $60-70 I think. BTW my water heater is gas not electric. If I was heating my home for $80.00 I wouldn't be here asking for help. I notice that people keep trying to give you recommendations and advise that you are asking for and you keep telling them thats wrong or "your" guy says thats incorrect. Do yourself a favor and save your yourself from carpal tunnel from typing useless BS and go install your Geo already since you are the smartest person here.

Snap

I just jumped in the end of the post so forgive me
2400 ,3000 do not strike me as huge
especialy if its the whole house . The best way to compare I have learned is unit KWH/heating degree days
the 2 big factors left out of that are sq. feet and inside temp. .
If you could post/repost some of that info it would help me , try and help you
you could be on track could have issues even with those numbers its still a guess

mike this system is not free for running. some people are more efficient in their day to day living. i dont know what you are whining about your cost is no way out of line. a 3000 sq. foot house is a big house costly to keep up. no doubt you spent a ton of money but there is no free lunch for utlitiy costs now. mike for your information i have made a lot of money doing things my way and i am especiially watchfull for people i work with. i see such a profit potential in this business i am thinking of forming my own compamy.

lets see undboutedly it will take at leat 50k for start up costs which i have but i see tremendous profit potenial in this new method of heating. here is what i will stress to potenital customers i will be able to save 1/2 over what normal bids are and give you a sytem that will save you on your utiliity costs. with all the rebates and tax credits they will be able to afford it.

your comments appreciated
