Hi Guys,

I'm having a retrofit of a new geo system  this spring.  I decided on Econar and expected to install a high velocity duct system, however, the other day I was skimming the hydro unit manual and saw reference to a Valance heating and cooling system.  I never heard of it before and found its like having baseboards on the ceiling but it does radiant cooling efficiently.

Does anyone have real experience with Valance and Geothermal?  Any comments would be appreciated as well.

here is a company's website http://www.edwardsvalance.com/products.html

Did you ever get any response on this? Sounds interesting.

Looks to me like radiators that operate in convection only mode (they are hidden from view). I expect that a house full of hydronic radiators will be more expensive than an air system. And that passive ceiling radiators will cause a lot of stratification in heating mode.
