I have a client in Woodinville, WA. He would like to install a pump-and-dump geothermal system, but he has an artesian well. What do I test for? PH and total hardness? Thanks!

I started a similar thread last week. Lots of info and links here:

Take a water sample to the couny lab and have them do a 'partial chem' on the water sample. This typcially includes pH, hardness, nitrites/nitrates, iron, etc. Bottom line is 'cleaner the better'. Also, need to make sure you have adequate flow and constant pressure from the well (best to have a variable speed well pump). Hope this helps.
