I get a freeze alarm once a day and seems like when it is not calling for heat. I removed the strap-on sensor from under the insulation on the discharge side of the heat pump and I still get the alarm. The freeze alarm stat pin is in the no posion on control board on the heat pump, and there is no freeze sensor wired from there. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

What is the alarm from? heat pump? zone controller? thermostat? I don't know which unit you have, but the freeze stat is seperate (for open loop systems) and not activated based on the info you provided. It also does not necessarily activate an alarm.
Ty filling in some of the answers to the questions we asked on the troubleshooters list.

This is part of a closed loop system. The freeze alarm stat pin on the heat pump control board is in the no position as for being a closed loop system with glycol . The unit is connected to a network where I can see what it is doing over the internet. The unit is a fhp model ES025-1VTC with a I/O ZONE 560 controller. The I/O Zone 560 control board is mounted on the outside of the heat pump, and has a strap on sensor mounted on the discharg water side of the heat pump for discharge water temp. I removed the sensor from under the insulation and still get the freeze alarm. I do not get the freeze alarm during the heating mode but after the heating mode in most cases, around 1 hour after.

Sorry, No the freeze alarm is from the UPM board on the heat pump. I put a jumper across the terminals where the freeze sensor would plug in on the UPM board and it seems to have taken care of the problem. I talked to a tech rep from FHP and he believes this will that care of the problem.(the UPM board is bad and the freeze yes/no jumper is not working)
