The video's from Ingram air and water look great, and the price for the geothermal is unbelievable.  The geo unit is from Mcquay, I have not every heard on them before.  Is the price too good for what you get?

Haven't looked at this outfit in particular, but generally speaking, most over the counter sales appear inexpensive because of what's not included.....i.e. design, tools, excavation equipment etc.
Contractor's don't charge you alot for the equipment, they charge you for the other stuff, so if you are capable of installing the system yourself you can save contractor margin, regardless of what brand you buy or who you buy it from.
That said, I'd try to find a local, over the counter sales, supply house and inquire about Comfortaire. It is a relabled Climatemaster with superior warranties. It is what we hope to sell in our DIY biz (currently making sure parent company doesn't mind being specifically marketed for DIY).
While McQuay is okay, think about how quickly you can get parts. Also check EnergyStar site before you buy any heat pump to make sure it is listed (for tax credit).
Good Luck,
Joe

Thanks for the information. I will look into the Comfortaire. Building a house and want to install a geothermal, but the quotes I have received have started at $50K. Ouch!!!!!! Now I am looking around for other alternatives for geothermal like DIY.
